KiesBeter.nl is een openbare zorgportal. Deze portal is bedoeld voor alle volwassen inwoners van Nederland die vragen hebben op het gebied van zorg, zorgverzekeringen en gezondheid. De informatie van kiesBeter.nl is betrouwbaar en kan helpen bij het maken van keuzes op dit gebied.
KiesBeter.nl is gemaakt door het centrum voor Volksgezondheid Toekomst Verkenningen van het Rijksinstituut voor Volksgezondheid en Milieu (RIVM). Aan kiesBeter.nl werken veel organisaties mee.
In opdracht van het RIVM heeft Emmia DIEP (het Diabetes Interactief Educatie Programma) geschikt gemaakt voor gebruik binnen KiesBeter.nl.
Overheden en bedrijven staan voor de uitdaging hun websites zó te bouwen dat ze zowel voor mensen als voor browsers en zoekmachines optimaal toegankelijk zijn. Voor het bouwen van websites bestaan internationaal erkende afspraken in de vorm van webstandaarden. Toepassing van deze standaarden levert beduidend betere websites op. De Nederlandse overheid heeft deze internationale standaarden handzaam samengebracht in een kwaliteitsmodel Webrichtlijnen. Het omvat 125 kwaliteitseisen ten behoeve van betere websites.
Deze versie van DIEP voldoet volledig aan de Webrichtlijnen die de overheid stelt. Emmia is na de toetsing dan ook toegevoegd aan de lijst met toegankelijke webbouwers.
Stichting Accessibility heeft de toetsing uitgevoerd. Stichting Accessibility is het expertisecentrum voor toegankelijkheid en maatschappelijk verantwoord ondernemen op het gebied van internet, software en elektronische toepassingen.

There are internationally recognized agreements in the form of web standards for building websites. Application of these standards produces significantly better websites. The Dutch government has conveniently brought together these international standards in a Web Guidelines quality model. It includes 125 quality requirements for better websites.
This version of DIEP fully complies with the Web Guidelines set by the government. After the assessment, Emmia was added to the list of accessible web builders.
